Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026Effective date: July 12, 2026

Bosster is developed and operated by Cinute InfoMedia (www.cinuteinfomedia.com). This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets the ground rules for using the Bosster service so that it remains safe, reliable, and fair for every tenant. It forms part of, and uses the definitions from, our Terms of Service.

Most of this policy is common sense: use the Service for genuine task management and collaboration, and do not harm other users, other tenants, or the platform itself.

1. Prohibited Content

You may not store, post, or transmit content that:

  • is illegal under applicable law, or facilitates illegal activity (including child sexual abuse material, which we report to authorities without exception);
  • contains malware, ransomware, or any code designed to damage or gain unauthorized access to systems or data;
  • infringes the intellectual-property rights, trade secrets, or privacy rights of others;
  • constitutes targeted harassment, threats of violence, or incitement to hatred against individuals or groups;
  • is deceptive — phishing pages, fraudulent schemes, or content impersonating another person or organization.

2. Prohibited Conduct

  • Spam: using the Service (including workspace invitations, comments, or chat) to send unsolicited bulk messages or advertising.
  • Unauthorized access: accessing or attempting to access accounts, workspaces, or systems you are not authorized to use, or circumventing authentication, rate limits, or other technical controls.
  • Service abuse: interfering with the Service’s operation — including denial-of-service attacks, load testing without written permission, or deliberately degrading performance for other tenants.
  • Crypto-mining: using any part of the Service or its infrastructure for cryptocurrency mining or similar compute hijacking.
  • Unauthorized resale: reselling, sublicensing, or offering the Service to third parties as your own product without a written agreement with Cinute InfoMedia.
  • Misrepresentation: misrepresenting your identity or affiliation when creating accounts or workspaces, or evading a prior suspension or termination by creating new accounts.

3. Tenant Isolation and Data Security

Bosster is a multi-tenant platform, and the isolation between tenants is the foundation of every customer’s trust in it. Any attempt to access, probe, enumerate, or exfiltrate data belonging to another tenant’s workspace is a severe violation of this policy and will result in immediate termination and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement — regardless of whether the attempt succeeds. The only exception is good-faith security research conducted within the rules of Section 5.

4. Fair Storage and API Usage

Plan allowances are designed for real-world team usage. To keep the Service fast for everyone:

  • use storage for task-related attachments, not as a general-purpose file host, media distribution point, or backup target;
  • keep automated/API usage within published rate limits, use exponential backoff on errors, and do not parallelize requests to evade per-account limits;
  • do not scrape the Service or harvest data about other users.

Where usage exceeds fair use without being malicious, we will contact you and work out a solution before restricting anything, as described in the Terms of Service.

5. Security Research and Responsible Disclosure

We welcome good-faith security research and will not pursue legal action against researchers who follow these rules:

  • Report vulnerabilities privately to legal@opentask.app with enough detail to reproduce the issue. We will acknowledge reports promptly and keep you informed of remediation progress.
  • Test only against accounts and workspaces you own or have explicit permission to test; never against another tenant’s data.
  • Do not publicly disclose a vulnerability, or release exploit code, before we have had a reasonable opportunity to fix it (we aim for coordinated disclosure within 90 days).
  • Do not exfiltrate data beyond the minimum needed to demonstrate the issue, degrade the Service, or demand payment as a condition of disclosure.

6. Enforcement and Consequences

Enforcement is graduated and proportionate to the severity and intent of the violation:

  • Warning — for first-time, minor, or apparently unintentional violations, we will notify you (or your workspace admin) and give you a reasonable opportunity to remedy the issue.
  • Suspension — for repeated violations, or where a temporary measure is needed to stop ongoing harm while we investigate. We will explain the reason unless legally prohibited.
  • Termination — for unremedied or repeated serious violations, following the notice provisions of the Terms of Service.
  • Immediate action — severe violations (illegal content, attacks on tenant isolation, security attacks, ongoing harm to others) may result in immediate suspension or termination without prior notice, and referral to authorities where appropriate.

We apply this policy even-handedly: enforcement decisions may be appealed by writing to legal@opentask.app, and we will review appeals in good faith.

7. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behavior on Bosster that violates this policy, report it to support@opentask.app (or legal@opentask.app for legal matters such as copyright complaints). Include links or identifiers where possible. We review reports promptly, keep the reporter’s identity confidential to the extent permitted by law, and do not retaliate against good-faith reports.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to address new kinds of abuse or legal requirements. Material changes are announced in accordance with the Terms of Service. The version on this page, with its “Last updated” date, is always the current one.
